Tulip Bulbs Poem by Paul Reed

Tulip Bulbs

Rating: 5.0

The tulip bulbs are in the ground
Scattered all around
Hidden from everyday view
But not from you
Because you planted each one with care
And put them there.

In spring you will reap your reward
As through the green sward
The stems, granted life, will thrust
As they must
To fulfil their botanical duty
And reveal their startling beauty.

To you it is a special day
When the tulips have their way
Because your hand started their story
And now, in all their glory
They nod to you and say hello
Believer in us below.
