Turquoise Water Poem by Brandon Lucero

Turquoise Water

Rating: 5.0

Eyes of cobalt
the sexiest blue
jealous colors
surrounding you

Thought I knew courage
greeted him as a friend
till our eyes met
and my bravery grew thin

Cause sometimes one look evaporates lust
sometimes one look inspires trust

Your legs were gorgeous
radiant and long
my force of will
utterly gone

Thank God for moments like these
rare and exciting mysteries
your name, your sign, your needs, your wants
my heart sings with guesses and thoughts

Finally made the decision to charm
failed to hear the sirens alarm

You proved special too tame a word

for your fire

to describe the perfection those eyes

will inspire
