Two Separate Sides Poem by Timothy Long

Two Separate Sides

No more fun,
no more games,
the relaxation is over,
my dreams are dead,
and even the smoking can't last forever,
my eyes have gone dimmed,
no longer are they strong and bright,
I can't hardly see past the morning early light,
everybody has left,
nobody is there to see me give up too,
I'm not as good as I once was,
the years flew by too fast,
fragments of hope,
the clowns mask cannot be used no more,
called out by your voice,
being a disgrace was not a choice,
I'm so cold without you,
the dark abyss has a new side,
its more mature,
come along for the ride,
welcome to my two seperate sides.
