Two Wishes Poem by Gail Grierson

Two Wishes

A wish for you, a wish for me,
Am hoping they’ll come true;
I believe that you and I
Will be happy when they do.

I cannot tell my wishes
On the chance they won’t come true,
But I have faith that happiness
Is there for me and you.

A wish for you, a wish for me,
I did not ask a lot,
I made these wishes carefully,
With conscientious thought.

If my wishes do come true,
I’m sure that we will find
That joy will come to both of us,
Love and friendship intertwined.
