Typical Heartbreak Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Typical Heartbreak

Summertime you've laid eyes on me
A familiar face brings pleasant memories
I froze in shock but became emotionally excited
There we were in the same room
With nothing but thoughts rushing throuh my mind
Couldn't say a word due to the unexpected surprize
Soon you walked away as I remain still
It was something of a nightmare not wanting it to be real
This is not your typical love story
Yeah, We started out heading down that romantic path
Way back when things were still well
I wondered what happened there after
Needed time to think things through
And It comes rushing fast as the tears roll down my face
Didn't understand what transpired, Ended up hurt and badly wounded
You have took me for a rollercoaster ride
I had never been taken so high
Come down, bruised soul which I try but can not hide
This is not your typical love story
