Un-Man-Kind Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Un-Man-Kind

Un-man-kind

It is winter
Cold, muddy and snow
Unclean
Greyish with smoke

And I
Looking for a firm place
Take a step
Splash
Second worse
The third is disaster

A Smile with grace on my face:
"This is life"
And recall Taliban
Bombarding of Buda; Bamian

Bin Laden, Bora Bora
Guantanamo and Bagram
Then in line are Iraq, Syria
Beheadings, slogans

Wide smile
Dad's around:
"The mankind goes backward."
I stop, surrender
"Days go by; worse becomes every-day"

"This is us...un-man-kind."
