Unafraid - Afraid Poem by Randy McClave

Unafraid - Afraid

I am unmasked, unvaxxed and unafraid
For my health others have constantly prayed
I scream and I post this to everyone, everyday
That I am free, and I am always feeling okay.
I don't need to wear a mask to go out and eat
And I don't need a shot when friends I meet,
Even though I don't wear a mask or received a vaccine
Unto those who did, I am always hateful, judging and mean.
Decades ago, I got my polio vaccine when I was just a lad
And because of this my parents were very emotional and glad,
And one certainty that I and my parents do know
Because of them and others, they eradicated polio.
Remember this, people can't call themselves Americans and be free
Unless they believe just like me,
None should ever wear a mask or ever get a Covid shot
Because, I read that it's all a government controlled evil plot.
I will always go outside and not ever wear a mask
Unto my belief I will always post and in my belief bask,
From politicians I have been truly enlightened
So, being maskless or not having a vaccine I am not frightened.
I need not wear a mask because I am not scared
Not being afraid of a virus I have constantly declared,
I don't need a shot or to wear a mask for anyone
But, I do need to always carry a rifle or a handgun.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was inspired my friends of mine who constantly post they don't won't wear masks or take a vaccine, because they are not afraid, but the are the exact same people who must always have a gun nearby.
