It's Fear
That you
Want in me
It's fear
That gave
Reins to thee
Controlling
All my actions
I respond
To your
Reactions.

Fear of
almighty God
Of age old
societal rot
Of wrath that
You can wrought

As I
free myself
from chains
Get ready
for preordained
You try hard
To restrain

Much to
Your consternation
Your power
Is in attrition
I know
You can't give
Me Salvation.

This is my
Simple song
As I break free
After so long
From. Your clutches
That once were
Just so strong.

Rudderless
I swim again
Directionless
once more
My way
Freedom of choice
I do have new voice
And I'll never
Trade it away
Nalini

An interesting poem. Undoubtedly written by a newly emancipated lady, wishing to air her soul. Very well written piece of work. Spread the good word.
