Unbridled Morning, Taxis, Cars, Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Unbridled Morning, Taxis, Cars,

Unbridled morning, taxis, cars,
vehicles, flying with speed,
others more slow, pedestrians hurrying,
the town awake its slow motion rejects.

girls and ladies, hair colored,
peroxides and all the rest, fluttering
moving here and there with the quick
steps in a sonata proportional

All hurry, all cannot wait, those who
pass without greeting, others briefly
greet and talk, then move, move on,
unbridled morning to make up for the night's slow.
