Uncle Adams Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Uncle Adams

Your muse in America is what it takes on this poem,
But you have forgotten us so soon.
One day you will look back,
And one day you will learn very well;
For it takes a step after the other to climb up so high!

I am lost in my dreams because of you,
I gave you the way and now you've forgotten us all;
But now that you are a citizen over there,
You've taken the pride to be a selfish man than ever.
