Uncommitted Crime Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Uncommitted Crime

If only I could Tell you how I felt
if just for a minute
you could understand
Have dinner with a friend
without being accused
flirt harmlessly with loose girls
And come home and not have to pay for it

Just you go ahead put yourself in my shoes
How would it look if I nagged about what you've done
while you were away from me
sometimes I wished you'd understand
how much I love you but you only see the wrongs in me
Can't be around you, At times I pull away
Emotionally you hurt because you feel a rip in our relationship

If only you understood why I never answer my phone
I just want to live the moment
without having to compromise nothing
Still you take me for granted
As if I'd never live up to your expectations

If you figured out why I don't have the time
Then you just might understand
maybe you could find a resolution
or else the conflicts could turn for worse
