Uncut Diamonds Poem by shweta khosla

Uncut Diamonds

Rating: 5.0

Sparkling diamonds
Not one but many
Strewn in my path
Shimmering for the sun
Inviting me to see
To walk over
Like the queen
I was meant to be

I lifted a foot
Not fear, nor doubt
In my heart
a smile of triumph
of being free
to spin dreams
to dance again
and shine happily

step one when
I took on the path
It pricked my skin
Hard, made it bleed
Was it the fee?
to walk the glimmer?
I smiled at the prize
Then I smiled for me
