Oh girl of mine,
you're self destructive
you don't seem to mind,
everything you dreamed of was in your hands
you tape your mouth shut and just smile
oh troubled child,
what have you done?
telling lies about yourself
ignoring the world around you
pretending to be patient
when you couldn't wish for time to go faster
oh sweet girl of my own
why aren't you selfish?
why don't you vanish?
I've never seen so much trouble
in anyone elses eyes before
why don't you decide?
why don't you step aside?
All I want is to see your genuine smile.
Oh girl of mine,
you're so far deep into your own body and mind
you are lost and undefined.
