Under Open Sky Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

Under Open Sky

In my college days
a new tenant came in our house
at 2nd floor
a small family
husband, wife and their daughter-in-law
their son was in army
she was about 24
very sweet
shortly she became friendly
and then friend

It was about 9 pm
I was lying on a mat
on roof top
she came there silently
and laid beside me
I looked into her eyes
she was thirsty
I utilised the opportunity
took her between my hands
and sank into her
under open sky
no one saw us
except the moon and the stars.
