Under Palm Trees Wandered My Soul. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Under Palm Trees Wandered My Soul.

Under palm trees wandered my Soul.

It was in the desert and it was night.

Shone through a partial cloud the moon.

I wandered, wandered, wondered
For I was desperate.

Let me heavens immense in that
Desperation be inhabitant.

And being thus inured to Sacrifice
Continual parent be of Ideas' genesis.

And briefly Confusion shall reign as Inner Soul.
