Under The City Street - Poem by Courtney Shanahan

Falling into a dark pit under the city street
No light to be found here where all hope is lost
It is like being blind, unable to find my way
The rusty smell kills me inside
I think it's blood, maybe my own
My side hurts
That stranger stabbed me
Tore my heart away and pushed me
Pushed me into a dark pit under the city street
