Under The Moon's Watchful Eye Poem by Sven Rhoads

Under The Moon's Watchful Eye

Stranded on a planet far from my home
Trying to carve my place in a concrete world
Green eyed monsters crawl from every stone
An unwritten contract for the situation I've been hurled
Population of these creatures seems like infestation
A million all around me yet it seems so desolate
Still flying my colors proud of my own nation
Wandering and wondering until my mind wont forget
Always you have been the light in the dark
From my early dawn until the day I die
Deep in the soul of me you've become a part
Always under the moon's watchful eye
Raise me up as you push back the shadows
Clear is the path that you beckon for me
Ignite the sky for the brand new tomorrow
You are the only one that understands me
Reflecting off the waters like a mirror
A spell over me cast by a wizard
Let me howl to you the song of my heart
For at daylights peak we will be apart
But I know within that you are still there
Keeping your eye on this stranded voyager
Among the machines yet flesh they bare
I know you'll return when day gives to night
