Dragging myself over the broken glass
Of the misery that I've been so entwined
In my darkest hour that shall be the last
To feel the chill running up my spine
As I gather the strength for what I must do
Upon this night to be rid of you
In the darkness I continue to lie awake
For every failure rushes through my mind
I cannot escape the past that haunts me
So I will go to where silence reigns
I have bled all my life, there's nothing to take
This liberation I've come to find
The snow white sleep will set me free
For once and for all, no more pain
The surging flow of the eternal stream
The longing sigh before the gallows' tree
Slipping away in the black velvet dream
I've given much but you took more of me
As I slip to slumber at my curtain call
Weep for me not, I regret nothing at all
In the blowing December breeze I'll sway
Within the shadow's room I will sit
No more to feel the beating of my soul
I am going deep under the veil
Never to see the dawn of a new day
I cast myself into the endless pit
For a shred of peace I've given my soul
As I close my eyes under the veil
