Understanding Poem by Raghav Kapur

Whenever you see a friend looking dejected
You yourself seem very affected
You go and ask him what’s wrong
And tell him you will be with him lifelong

To understand is very cogent
It is also extremely potent
A friend in need is a friend indeed
Very few people can exceed

To understand you have to be reasonable
Otherwise it is treasonable
You put yourself in that person’s shoes
And think what you do before you refuse

But for all means stand by your friend
And always comfort him till the end
And always remember to understand him well
Otherwise in sorrow you will dwell.
