Unequal Contest Poem by O Anna Niemus

Unequal Contest

Hunters set traps, mimic sounds of mates in distress,
sit hidden in blinds, stalk animals in the woods,
often in darkness,
have telescopic sites. There is no glory
in murdering defenseless animals.

I don't hunt but I would if the animals were armed.
