Unfair Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Unfair

Unfair

Give me time and listen
-don't hurry, is not fair.

When I walk down the halls
-hear cats, and dogs bark.

lonely are and bored with
-furniture, and kitchen
-and TV, and paintings…

Some extend the paws to
-scratch the walls, which
-engulf them; or sneak
-beneath door in searching
-with hope to, possibly
-find sort of true help!

Pet owners call it love
-pick their pets into arms
-and buy them many things
-food and shoes, fancy beds.

Some pets are luckier
-as claimed by owners.

They end up in salons
-to be washed and groomed
-even have dog-walkers
-who take them out, unleash
-the pet to, run free…

Dogs and cats have baths and
-when go out, their drops
-are hand-picked by owners…

The pets get pat, caress
-but never can exchange
-positions with owners
-to speak and reveal
-the fact of how it feels
-to be loved but in-cage…
