Unfound Note Poem by Weldon Davis

Unfound Note

If this letter could reach you
I'd tell you my fondest memories of you

Calling you on my lunch break
Just to hear your voice
Driving home from work
Knowing you'd be there waiting on me
With a smile on your face

Holding hands walking out the movie theater
Having more faith in you than god
Writing new poems and dedicating them to you
Not only did you get them
You appreciated them

Your head on my shoulder
My arm falling asleep
Yet I didn't dare move it
Not wanting to disturb your peaceful slumber

The first thing I seen when I opened my eyes was you
Getting lost on the road with just you
Lost in your eyes
Lost in your smile
I was never lost at all
I was found :)

My message on an unfound note
Lost forever
Is I wish I could have stayed longer
Wish
I could have been better

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Hey.
I'm so fond
That all my bad times magically disappear
Yeah.
They are gone

I love you
I love you
I love you
So I quote
My message to you
In this
Unfound note
