Untitled #2 Poem by Weldon Davis

Untitled #2

Her skin like silk
Eyes like almonds
Yeah.
I could get lost in those

Mind like a steel trap
Sharp as a tack
Surely there is no fooling her: /

She's heard all my stories
And is not impressed
I'm naked before her
She does not see the beauty
Only the ugly

That's all she's ever seen
Maybe that's the truth of it

Maybe I'm a bandit
Damn it
Girls like her never
Fall for guys like me
A rarity
A glare at the
Girl of my dreams

Who does not know
Yet knows everything
