Unhappiness Poem by Lynn Stillman

Unhappiness

Sometimes I need.
And that brings fear.
Can't get too close to happy.
Knowing a long dropp is near.
One day I can see the light,
the next day my mind refuses to let it in.
People I know wear too many faces.
Their cutting words lacerate my skin.
But I know who I am inside,
and that person I will never betray.
Toys made of emotion, oh how we love to play.
