Uninspired By Others Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Uninspired By Others

In the style of Thomas Hardy.
He to She:

You are my own true special love
So attractive and appealing.
I will love you beyond tomorrow,
Overcome with passionate feeling.

Uninspired am I by others,
be they aristocracy or gentry.
If you leave, you'll rue the morrow
For my needs are elementary.

So, dear treasure of my heart,
Around you may I always be
To keep you safe and comfort you
With deepest love for eternity.
