Unlearning Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Unlearning

Logarithms deserted my mind
Like fat in a pan fast melting
Pilgrim's Progress sank in a bog
Dates left my memory running

Geography dropped off the atlas
Chemistry hung by a thread
Geometry stuck in a thought-jam
Trigonometry fell stone dead

Problems hid in the bushes
Algebra emigrated
As my ageing brain relaxed
Learning is overrated
