ivy skies

I watch them twisting all around me,
I give them what they want to hear,
When thunder rolls in and lightning strikes,
I tell them there is nothing to fear,
My thoughts run cold in the day time,
And im lieing when i say im fine,
Can you hear my screaming,
When you close your eyes at night.

I don't know if you meant this to be all the more poignant given recent events, I'm sure that would not be your intention, but I can't help something in my heart breaking when I read the words 'My thoughts run cold in the day time, And im lieing when i say im fine'. This is truly a beautiful poem, and a cold and yet perfectly truthful way of expressing yourself, that you must remember to never lose. Late at night, sweetheart, I'm here.
    Ever yours- Ef.
