Unpatriotism Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Unpatriotism

You viciously sucked her dry in greed
And with the mass wealth you recklessly stole
Sent your offsprings across the sea
To leisurely suck the succulent breast of other mothers
Whose statesmen pruned and nurtured
Leaving the sagging breast of the haggard mother
For the children of the poor to scramble for a drop.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The corrupt politicians greedily milk our nation dry, use their I'll gotten wealth to send their children overseas. The children of the poor are left to suffer in the impoverished nation.
