Unraveling Enigma Poem by April Humason

Unraveling Enigma

You're an enigma, a riddle unsolved,
In my mind, every day, you revolve.
I long to fathom and play,
But you keep me at bay, astray.

I'm lost, hiding in the middle,
An enigma, our paths entwiddle.
Yet, fate won't be belittled,
Its course, steadfast, unriddled.

You can't be my next, I confess,
Though you leave me in distress.
Even if you bring me to the apex,
Love's enigma remains, no less.

You were never the core, you see,
For you held the power, the fee,
While I was left, feeling beastly.
Now I'm free, no longer to plea.

So come, let's embrace, entwine,
For your taste, I shall define.
As we drift from reality's line,
Pretending we're somebody, divine.
