Untitled Poem by Monte Hill

I remember lying in bed with regrets;
Her name will remain anonymous, as
The heteronomy subjected me to pity
Sex. Her kisses stung, and her canal
Is tainted by the last man. Her well
Ran dry, different guys, different nights,
There's no life inside. I couldn't do it;
And she starred at me ask, what am I
Doing? No more sudden movements,
Then I exhaled and pushed away. I feel like
A disgrace to faith and love. Where's
The feeling? One nightstands leaves me
Questioning it like the death of Sandra
Bland. She runs her hands down my back,
I fidgeted and asked if she could exit. I
Noticed on her face that she reached a
Certain level of agitation. And she opened
Up about her frustrations. Started sobbing
Uncontrollably, and said I'll never find a man
To truly love me. So she used sex as a coping
Mechanism. I can sense the lust demons
That's seeping from her psyche. She was
Molested by her daddy, but she don't know
Her father. Impregnated more than four
Times, three abortions and one miscarriage.
She felt embarrassed by her decisions, now
She has another life inside of her belly. She
Don't know who's the father, she cheated on
Her boyfriend with his brother. Her mischief
Underneath the covers; cost her purity and
Her inner beauty. I told her you don't need me
To dig down low, you need time to grow.
Because I don't want to be the one to salt
Your soul.

A deplorable tale of adventure into waywardness - an ugly encounter with an empty enchantress, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Monte. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
