Untitled Poem by Octavia Tisdale

Untitled

Rating: 3.5

The silent cry of the rain eased
as with the flashing lights and
noiseless roars
The earth is damp and soggy in
its life of sleep
All is still with care
For atlas silence has ceased
this world
The tortched day of the sun is over
and now peace has conquered the
humane world

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Nathaniel Booker 05 September 2008

Is there peace in nothingness... is there solitude in death... maybe at one point long ago in my life I would have ventured a guess... but that time is so far removed from me and my faith and beliefs have changed and they so contradict this well written piece... I will leave you with this... 'The earth was made to be inhabited even to times indefinite' and even if the sun were to cease to function, 'it would take 50,000,000,000 years for the effects of a powerless sun to be felt on the earth' but rest assured that won't happen either. Keep em coming dear one... Be Well
