Untitled Poem by Daryl lyraD

Untitled

It was autumn then,
I still remember the snow which
softly landed on your rosy cheeks.
The falling of the crisp brown maple leaves,
as it descended upon your feet.
And how the waves lapped onto your toes,
and the soft soft sand which we lay upon.

We would dance under the moonlight,
as the crickets played out duet,
and lie down in absolute stillness,
in awe of the constellations.
in awe of one another.

The memories we shared would last
forever, even as you fade away,
or when we cry and die.
The times we spent, the short-lived happiness,
before you walked out that very door.
I'll remember us forever,
even if it were 30, no 50 years ago.
