Untrue Poem by Cory Jensen

Untrue

The unsaid words,
I wish I would say to you.
Turned to the smoke
That you walk right through.
The hot tears,
I always see you cry.
Pool in my hands,
Never do I try to dry.
The false truths,
That keep you at bay
I want to tell you
Instead of shoving you away.
The sweet smile
You always give me,
Though you know I am fake.
Makes me want to start again.
The hurtful words,
That leave my mouth instead,
Of the soothing words.
You always deserve.
The golden heart,
That belongs to you.
It beats and bleds.
For one that ain't true.
The broken pieces,
Pieces you left behind.
They all fell for a reason,
For they are all mine.
