Upholding The Tree Of Life Poem by Erika Peace

Upholding The Tree Of Life

Oxygen it gives me helping me to breathe.
Scent it leaves in the air
Like its presence you can see from a distant sight.
This tree helps me to think with my mind,
Imaginative and free as a bird that’s passing by.
Pleasant and inviting in all eyes
Rain providing it the strength to grow.
Power and freedom it gives me
Holding me and protecting me with its warmth.
It gives me joy and happiness whenever I’m near it.
Full branches spreading out;
Making sure I’m safe,
From the madness and obvious depression.
Family it seems to me bringing me closer and closer.
Making me feel loved and needed.
