Uptown

They say the postman never will knock twice
but the people heading for uptown
can often see no reason to seem nice
since they don’t think they’re going down.


Colonel Tom Parker, a Dutchman whose real name was Andreas Cornelis van Kujik, commanded 50% of Elvis’s income but said: “No, that’s not true at all. He takes 50% of everything I earn.” He also said: “You don’t have to be nice to people on the way up if you not coming back down.
