Used To Be A Superstar Poem by Dorsey Baker

Used To Be A Superstar

I was a superstar
But now I'm
Just a used to be
I used to
Put on a very big show
I had the bull by the horn
The cat by the tail
I was sailing
But now I ain't got
No wind in my sail

I was a superstar
But now
I'm just a used to be

I was loved by the girls
So many millions of them
But that was
A very long time ago
When I as a superstar
Way back then

Now my life is just a mirror
Looking back at me
I was a superstar back then
When I was
A much younger man
But now
I'm just a used to be
