Vacant Poem by Esther Hudson

Vacant

Rating: 5.0

'Is this seat vacant? ' I ask
'No, ' you say, 'But I'd rather you keep away'
'Is it this mask, ' I ask, 'that makes you Mad? '
'No, ' you say, 'I just like to see you Sad'
'Why? ' I ask, 'Is it because under this mask I am holding my Fears? '
'No, ' you say, 'I just like to see your Tears'
'Well, ' I say, 'you have done a good job'
'I am so sorry, ' you say, 'This seat is vacant, you may sit'
'Alright, ' I say, 'As long as it is vacant.'
