Valentine Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Valentine

Valentine

Lost is my faith in
The pastor who is said:
-was a go between
-for lovers
-in prisons
-a man
-a woman

Clouded my power of
What I loved to love:
-love
-love
-love

I grew to love
-love
-love
-love

But
I lost it as did the cook;
His hands turned to scale
For an unwritten recipe…

Cold folded the hands
Loneliness wrinkled my heart
Measurement is lost!

Love is similarly
Or it seems to be
Lost
Lost
Lost
Temporary and short lived
For business and profit!
Love is drained
As is our blood
Lost
Lost
Lost
Vanished is Sufis' love…
