Vasant 's Festival,
How to celebrate it, commemorate it,
Its festivity and joy,
Its colour and panorama?

See the woods and mark it
How the leaves keep falling and fluttering
When shaken by the playful winds of Phalgun,
Cool and shade keep doing the rounds?

How the leaves swirling with dust and the woods rattled by,
Heat and dust taking on,
But still it is sweet as for spring which has not gone,
New buds sprouting, the canopy decorated with red blooms
Adding to beauty as forest flames?

The birds cooing from the tree shades,
The folk singers singing Phag malhars in the villages
Which but resounding in the forest tract,
How the dais and the pandal of Vasant Mahotshav,
How to celebrate and commemorate it?

Let us write, Vasant Mahotshav with coloured powder
As do we during the New Year's Eve,
Happy Holi, Happy Holi to you all!
