Very Far Poem by PRAVEEN KUMAR English Poems

Very Far

Rating: 3.0

You are there, I know, very far,
Beyond my horizons around;
You are there, you know, very far,
Beyond your life's bound.

Between us spreads darkness,
Bitterly blinding both of us;
We know not to turn left or right
For our fight with cruel fate.

I know how you are there,
You know how I am here
In the dark world we share
Without a soul really us care.

I try hard to struggle to break out
And reach you there at your spot;
But, alas, how can I without light
Come out of worldly constraint?

At two ends of north and south,
Caught and deeply grieve both;
Lies in-between a huge world
That firmly stands to its ground.

Constraints on us are very many,
Stand up between us those any,
When we move to our far goal
To reach and grow in to whole.

Long creepers obstruct our feet,
Huge boulders stand to full height
To stop us on laborious long route;
No love's labour ever goes straight.

We know, our worlds are one,
Whatever horizons stand between;
We throb to each other's tune
While exist in any worldly zone.

How can I call you very far,
How can you call me very far
While we sing and dance as one
From whatever distant domain.

Distances in love count not,
Tall fences in love count not;
Throbs for each deep in heart
Transcends all worldly feat.

Still is the love now we have,
But nothing is still in this world;
Someday our love shall move
To crown us in material mould.
