Vicious Cycle Poem by jessebelle bar

Vicious Cycle

love unrequited, pain never understood
i cant complain but for consistency-
for youre my one weakness
devilishly handsome and doling out smiles
unfriendly, yet welcomed
so often trying to impress you
just impress upon your mind an image appealing
could we please be simpler
and quit the senseless torture
i need that which you confided to materialize
you said then that you liked me
and after that you loved me
it took forever as we played that horrible game
flirt and ignore it seemed endless and immature
all the while we both wanted more
you'd go away and come back
we'd become closer due to the time gap
now we're trapped in that cycle again
drawn in a short time
then released from the entrapment
yet we know its not over
i don't comprehend your psyche
you asked me out before
then put it off on me now
i hesitate to love you again
but its just so damned hard not to
i have no idea what will become of us
for we keep finding one another
and know we have always been close
what holds us back i don't know
and the future will happen soon enough
whether you'll come back to me
or whether we'll remain as is
shall soon be seen...
and as usual, tested
