Victimized Poem by Adams King

Victimized

VICTIMIZED
I heard you cry for help
deep into the belly of darkness
with a shrill voice
that inflicts me with cold

Before your own very eyes
death was served
in a bloody and cruel manner
you have ever imagined

You lift your voice to heaven
and cried for mercy
one last drop of hot tears
trickle down your eyes

You wish you could take back
the steps of this ugly fate
but death comes unannounced
in a world of many monsters
