Sleep, ..is a metaphor/ a symbol, as you know in literature.Though essential, yet it is the most , evading aspect of man's life. ' Sidda' is a common name for a rustic, hardworking man which suggests that he is 'ready ' or has ' achieved what he wants'. Whereas such a common man especially in South India can manage to sleep anywhere, anytime easily and relax, it's a common sight of hard workers enjoying sleep without any bed or other accessories of luxurious living. A rich, highly accomplished man who constantly runs after futile, virtual achievements with no 'satisfaction ' at all foregoes such easy and relaxing sleep. The contrast is intended to manifest the fact that sleep and success which go together are intrinsic, but depend on man's other pursuits.
