On Marking The Half-busts of Vidyasagar
At Birsingha, Ghatal
Telling of his birth and childhood
And at Karmatar, Jamtara
His last days away from among the tribals.

Reading under the street lamplight,
Crossing the small stream
To see his sick mother.
