Village Lass - Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Unthinkable
Enthusiasts
Perched
Hanging
On the edge
Hovering
About
Day in day out
But, Sharmilee
Horizontally
Smooth
In her rags
Revealing
Fairy queen
Stepping down
On the earth
Finished beauty
Unparalleled
Innocent
Like village lass
In her teens
Conscious
All tips about
Day to day life
Deft in her entire
Domestic routines
Handling
Her father’s
Ten members
Large family
Effectively
In full flow
Of love and care
As favourite
Number one
Of every single one.
