Vincent Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Vincent

Where would the world of art be today
without your strokes on the canvas
without colors used by you, so vividly bright

Where would the world of art be today
without those remarkable sceneries
without your emotions on that linnen

Where would the world of art be today
without you

How is it
that your art, means so much
that your art, inspired so many
that your art, impressed me

The answer for that
isn't based on science
isn't hard to find
isn't difficult to understand

For your art
touched our eyes
touched our souls
touched our hearts

For your art
is the work
of an extraordinary artist
a genius
with a troubled
and struggling mind
