Virgin Prostitutes - Poem by seyi dekol

Naked destitute seeking refuge in a sacred fortitude
Having infectious attitude in her highest altitude

Still their ambitious flames burn with low magnitude
This red ink in the hot veins carrying multiple sins& pains

Could again resurrect Jesus from the grave
For the freshest salvation would run stale

With this abominable sacrilege on our broken plate
Naked destitute seeking refuge in a sacred fortitude

Yet drowning in their ocean of tears.
In their deflowered solitude

This virgin prostitute awaits their untouched restitute
For their innocence has been raped by the evil tools

Of poverty, hardship given free by protruding stomachs
In white flowing Agbadas exchanging their red money

For a vote or two even before the death of 12th of June
