Virgin Snow Poem by Grace Burke

Virgin Snow

I sit and watch the snowfall as it lays upon the ground
It's blanket of pure whiteness muffles every sound
The glistening of the sun as it sparkles on the snow
Brings warmth into my heart, even though it's five below.

The unspoiled scene before me is a wonder to behold
The view that's spread before me is worth more than precious gold
I see the virgin landscape as it lays before my eyes
And the distant far horizon as it melts into the sky.

This wonder of all wonders, this pristine land of white
Fills my world with peacefulness, my soul with golden light
This vista that surrounds me, this wonderland of snow
Reaches out before me as the northern winds do blow.
