Voice Of The Night Poem by Cheylee Miller

Voice Of The Night

Rating: 4.0

While under the light
Of the midnight sun
I love the way
The Earth does run

Everything is calm
Everything is cool
All the creatures are out
And Mother Nature rules

I walk to the lake
And watch the fish swim
The moon on the water
Then the lights dims

I look to the sky
And see all the clouds
As they cover the moon
Like a widdow shrouds

While looking up
I hear a sound
A soft little voice
Comming from all around

I listen closer now
To hear what it says
That voice on the wind
As sweet as it is

I understand now
It is the voice of the night
Telling me stories
And hugging me tight

Oh the beauty I see
And the beauty I hear
They make me want
Never to leave here

But soon, however
The sun shall rise
And I must wait again
For tomorrow night's surprise

A lovely poem with a great natural flow to it. It lacks some descriptive imagery though. Still it's enjoyable to read. Spiritsong
