Voodoo Machine - Poem by Anita Wisniewska

voodoo machine

Trapped help trapped
In your voodoo machine
Oh, so mean
So very mean!

Flapped
Helplessly
Caught
In your twisted lies
The once innocent became
All too wise

Slapped
By your rejection
Of such once trusting
Affection
Pure heart of driven snow withered
And putrefied

Zapped
with confusion
Poor mind
Sliding
Into delusion

You say
Love is dubious and so certain
Something nasty behind the curtain
What a bounteous feast of poison
Let's share it!

You say,
Try not to worry!
Let's hope

Oh dear, oh dear
This a very very
Slippery slope.

hay of green land may makes solace
    By your rejection
    Of such once trusting
    Affection
Pure heart of driven snow withered
    And putrefied
